ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.

    Then it is said: هَذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ("This is that which you used to deny"). He, whose praise is exalted, says: then it is said to these deniers of the Day of Judgment: this punishment in which you find yourselves today, that is the punishment of which it was proclaimed to you in the worldly life that you would taste it, but which you denied and rejected. So taste it now, for you have already been cast into it to burn.

    ثم يقال: ( هَذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ) يقول جلّ ثناؤه: ثم يقال لهؤلاء المكذّبين بيوم الدين: هذا العذاب الذي أنتم فيه اليوم، هو العذاب الذي كنتم في الدنيا تخبرون أنكم ذائقوه، فتكذّبون به، وتنكرونه، فذوقوه الآن، فقد صَلَيْتُم به.
