His statement: وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ("And when the graves are overturned"). He says: and when the graves are dug up and overturned, so that the dead who are in them are brought out of them alive. One says: baʿthara fulān ḥawḍa fulān — when he puts the lowest part of it on top. One says: baʿthara and baḥthara: they are two linguistic variants.

And in line with what we have said about this, the people of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl) have spoken.

    * Mention of who said that:

ʿAlī related to me, he said: Abū Ṣāliḥ related to us, he said: Muʿāwiya related to me, on the authority of ʿAlī, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās, concerning his statement: وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ("And when the graves are overturned"), he says: they are turned over.
