His statement: وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ ("and when the mountains are set in motion"). He says: and when Allah sets the mountains in motion, so that they become a mirage and scattered dust.

And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the exegetes (ahl al-taʾwīl) have spoken.

    * Mention of who said that:

Muḥammad ibn ʿUmāra related to me, saying: ʿUbayd Allāh related to us, saying: Isrāʾīl informed us, on the authority of Abū Yaḥyā, on the authority of Mujāhid: وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ ("and when the mountains are set in motion"), he said: they vanished.
