The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

And His statement: "The Day on which the trumpet (al-ṣūr) is blown" — He designated the Day of Decision by "the Day on which it is blown," as if it were said: the Day of Decision is an appointed time for what We have promised this people, the Day on which the trumpet is blown. I have already expounded earlier the meaning of al-ṣūr (the trumpet), and I have mentioned the disagreement of the exegetes of tafsīr concerning it, so that this excuses me from repeating it in this place. According to us, it is a horn into which one blows.
As Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, he said: Mihrān related to us, on the authority of Sufyān, on the authority of Sulaymān al-Taymī, on the authority of Aslam, on the authority of Bishr ibn Shaghāf, on the authority of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "The trumpet (al-ṣūr) is a horn."
Bishr related to us, he said: Yazīd related to us, he said: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His statement: "The Day on which the trumpet is blown" — and al-ṣūr is the creation.
And His statement: "and you will come in throngs" says: then they come group after group, in multitude after multitude.
In accordance with what we have said concerning this, the exegetes of tafsīr also spoke.
* Mention of who said that:
Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr related to us, he said: Abū ʿĀṣim related to us, he said: ʿĪsā related to us; and al-Ḥārith related to me, he said: al-Ḥasan related to us, he said: Warqāʾ related to us — both on the authority of Ibn Abī Najīḥ, on the authority of Mujāhid, concerning His statement: "in throngs," he said: group after group.
It was only said: "and you will come in throngs" because every community to which Allah sent a messenger comes together with the one who was sent to it, as He has said: يَوْمَ نَدْعُوا كُلَّ أُنَاسٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ ("The Day on which We shall call every people with their leader").
