Then in what statement after the Qur'an will they believe?

Allah, exalted is His mention, says: in what report after this Qurʾān — that is to say: you, O people, who have denied it despite the clarity of its proof, the validity of its indications, and that it is truth from Allah — will you then yet believe? He says: will you yet hold it to be true?
Allah, exalted is His mention, only informed them that, if they do not hold to be true these reports which He has conveyed to them in this Qurʾān — despite the validity of its proofs of its truthfulness — they will not be able to acknowledge the truth of any report whose subject matter they have neither witnessed nor seen with their own eyes. And that, if they hold to be true anything of what is hidden from them on the basis of an indication that has arisen for it, the same is likewise incumbent upon them with respect to the reports of this Qurʾān. And Allah knows best.
