Then woe to you, and woe!

Yūnus related to me, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Ibn Zayd said concerning His words: أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى ثُمَّ أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى ("Woe to you, and again woe; then woe to you, and again woe"), he said: Abū Jahl said: indeed, Muḥammad threatens me, while I am the mightiest of the inhabitants of Mecca and al-Baṭḥāʾ. And he [Ibn Zayd] recited: فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ * سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ * كَلا لا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ ("Then let him call his council; We shall call the guards of Hell. Nay, do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and draw near").
Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, saying: Mihrān related to us, on the authority of Sufyān, on the authority of Mūsā ibn Abī ʿĀʾisha, who said: I said to Saʿīd ibn Jubayr: is this something that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said of his own accord, or something that Allah commanded him? He said: no, he said it of his own accord, and then Allah sent down: أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى ثُمَّ أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى ("Woe to you, and again woe; then woe to you, and again woe").
