His statement: أَيَحْسَبُ الإنْسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ ("Does man think that We shall not gather his bones?") — the Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: Does the son of Adam think that We shall be unable to gather his bones after they have been scattered? Indeed, We are able to do something greater than that, namely to set in order his fingertips (banān) — and those are the fingers of his hands and feet — so that We could make them into a single whole, like the foot of the camel or the hoof of the donkey, whereby he could only take what he eats with his mouth, like the rest of the animals. But He made the fingers of his hands separate, with which he grasps, takes, clenches when he wishes and spreads open; thus He created him beautifully.

And in accordance with what we have said about this, the exegetes (ahl al-taʾwīl) also spoke.
