And we used to deny the Day of Recompense

His statement: وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ ("and we used to deny the Day of Judgment"). The Exalted — praised be His mention — says: they said: and we used to deny the Day of requital, reward, and punishment, and we did not believe in reward, nor in punishment, nor in reckoning.
