[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone

And His statement: (Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His unseen to anyone, except a messenger with whom He is pleased) — by "Knower of the unseen" He means: the Knower of what is hidden from the sight of His creatures, such that they do not see it, and He does not disclose His unseen to anyone, so as to let him know it or show it to him, except a messenger with whom He is pleased, for to him He discloses what He wills of that.
And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the exegetes spoke.

ʿAlī related to me, saying: Abū Ṣāliḥ related to us, saying: Muʿāwiya related to me, on the authority of ʿAlī, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās, concerning His statement: (and He does not disclose His unseen to anyone, except a messenger with whom He is pleased) — thus did Allah, glorified be He, instruct the messengers in the unseen through revelation, and disclose to them thereof by what He revealed to them of His unseen, and what Allah decrees — for none knows that other than He.
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His statement: (Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His unseen to anyone, except a messenger with whom He is pleased) — for He chooses them, and discloses to them what He wills of the unseen.
