Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers

The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا ("Have you not seen how Allah created seven heavens, one above the other?").
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says this while reporting the saying of Nūḥ — the blessings and the peace of Allah be upon him — to his people who associated partners with their Lord (shirk), as he set before them the proofs of Allah concerning His oneness: (أَلَمْ تَرَوْا) "Have you not seen," O people, so that you may take a lesson from it, (كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا) "how Allah created seven heavens, one above the other," each one above the other. And "ṭibāq" is a verbal noun from their expression: "ṭābaqtu muṭābaqatan wa-ṭibāqan" (I made to correspond, to be in agreement, and to be aligned). What is meant by it is: how Allah created seven heavens, one heaven above the other, in agreement with one another.
