They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,

The statement concerning the explanation of His word: قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (They said: We believe in the Lord of the worlds) (121)
Abū Jaʿfar said: The Exalted, whose mention is blessed, says: And the magicians cast themselves down when they beheld the tremendous power of Allah, falling upon their faces in prostration before their Lord, (1) saying: "We believe in the Lord of the worlds"; they say: We hold to be true that which Mūsā has brought us, and that the One whose worship is incumbent upon us is the One who possesses the jinn and mankind and all things, and everything else, (2) and who governs all of that.
