And His word: وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ("And indeed, it is a reminder for the God-fearing") — He, exalted be His mention, says: and indeed, this Qurʾān is a reminder, that is to say an admonition by which one is reminded and admonished, for the God-fearing, and they are those who fear the punishment of Allah by performing His obligations and avoiding disobedience to Him.
And in accordance with what we have said about that, the people of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl) have spoken.
* Mention of who said that:
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning: وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ("And indeed, it is a reminder for the God-fearing"), he said: the Qurʾān.
