Tafseer of The Reality · Al-Haaqqa · 69:25

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ

But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

    The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, exalted is He: وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ ("But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say: O woe to me, would that I had not been given my book!") (25).
