وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ

And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.

    And His word: وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ ("And I grant them respite; indeed, My scheme is firm"). The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: and I defer their appointed terms for a span of time, and that is a stretch of time, despite their unbelief and their rebellion against Allah, so that the proofs of Allah against them may be completed. إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ ("indeed, My scheme is firm"). He says: indeed, My scheme against the people of unbelief is mighty and firm.

    وقوله: (وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ ) يقول تعالى ذكره: وأنسئ في آجالهم ملاوة من الزمان، وذلك برهة من الدهر على كفرهم وتمرّدهم على الله لتتكامل حجج الله عليهم (إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ ) يقول: إن كيدي بأهل الكفر قويّ شديد.
