And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

أَمْ أَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ ("Or do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven"), and that is Allah, أَنْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ("will not send against you a destroying windstorm"), and that is dust containing small pebbles. فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ ("Then you will know how My warning is"); he says: then you will know, O disbelievers, what the consequence of My warning to you is, when you denied it and rejected it against My Messenger.
