The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: ( أَأَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ ) — "Do you feel secure from Him who is in heaven", O unbelievers (kāfirūn), ( أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الأرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ ) — "that He should cause the earth to swallow you up, so that it then is set in motion"; he says: so that the earth then sways back and forth with you, coming and going and quaking.
