Tafseer of The Exile · Al-Hashr · 59:20
Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise. The companions of Paradise - they are the attainers [of success].

The explanation of the statement of the Exalted: لا يَسْتَوِي أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ وَأَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ ("The inhabitants of the Fire and the inhabitants of the Garden are not equal; the inhabitants of the Garden, they are the victorious") (59:20).
The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: the people of the Fire and the people of the Garden (janna) are not equal to one another; the people of the Garden, they are the victorious — that is to say that they are the ones who have attained what they sought and desired, the ones delivered from that which they dreaded.
The explanation of the statement of the Exalted: لَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُتَصَدِّعًا مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَتِلْكَ الأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ("Had We sent down this Qurʾān upon a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbled and splitting asunder out of fear of Allah; and these parables We set forth for mankind, that they might reflect") (59:21).
