Tafseer of The Pleading Woman · Al-Mujaadila · 58:21
Allah has written, "I will surely overcome, I and My messengers." Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

The discourse on the explanation of His statement, the Exalted: كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لأَغْلِبَنَّ أَنَا وَرُسُلِي إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (21) (Allah has written: most surely I will prevail, I and My messengers. Verily, Allah is Strong, Almighty).
And His statement: كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لأغْلِبَنَّ أَنَا وَرُسُلِي (Allah has written: most surely I will prevail, I and My messengers). He says: Allah has decreed and written in the Mother of the Book (Umm al-Kitāb): most surely I will prevail, I and My messengers, over whoever resists Me and opposes Me.
And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the expositors of the tafsīr have spoken.

Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His statement: كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لأغْلِبَنَّ أَنَا وَرُسُلِي (Allah has written: most surely I will prevail, I and My messengers). The verse. He said: Allah has written a writ and carried it into effect.
And His statement: إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (Verily, Allah is Strong, Almighty). He says: Verily Allah, exalted be His praise, possesses strength and power over everyone who resists Him and His Messenger, to destroy him; He possesses might, so that no one can take revenge upon Him when He destroys the one under His protection, or punishes him, or inflicts any harm upon him in his very person.
