And burning in Hellfire

وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ ("and a roasting in a Hellfire") (56:94). He says: and the burning of the Fire with which he is burned. Al-taṣliya is the verbal noun of the verb ṣalāhu Allāh al-nār ("Allah made him roast in the Fire"); thus He brings him to burning (yuṣlīhi taṣliyatan), and that is when He burns him therewith.
