So taste My punishment and warning.

And His statement فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ "So taste My punishment (ʿadhāb) and My warnings" — the Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says to them: So taste, O assembly of the people of Lūṭ, My punishment which I have brought upon you on account of your disbelief in Allah and your denial of His messenger, and My warning by which I warned the other communities besides you through the punishment that I sent down upon you.
