The statement concerning the explanation of His statement, the Exalted: fa-nādaw ṣāḥibahum fa-taʿāṭā fa-ʿaqar (29) ("Then they called their companion, and he seized [her] and hamstrung [her]")
The Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: Then Thamūd called their companion, the slaughterer of the she-camel, Qudār ibn Sālif, to slaughter the she-camel, urging him to do so.
And His statement fa-taʿāṭā fa-ʿaqar — He says: he seized the she-camel with his hand and cut her hamstrings (so that she fell down and he killed her).
