لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ

Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover.

    laysa lahā min dūni llāhi kāshifa ("none besides Allah can disclose it").

    And His statement laysa lahā min dūni llāhi kāshifa — the Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: for the approaching event, which has already drawn near — and that is the Hour, which has already come close — there is, besides Allah, no discloser. He says: it is not disclosed, so that it comes to pass, except by Allah's causing it to arise and disclosing it, to the exclusion of all the rest of His creation; for He has not informed of it any angel brought near, nor any sent prophet. And it was said: kāshifa, thus in the feminine form, while it has the meaning of "disclosure" (al-inkishāf), as it was said Do you see any of them remaining (bāqiya)?, in the meaning of: do you see any continued existence of them; and as it was said "al-ʿāqiba" and "he has nothing that restrains him (nāhiya)"; and as it was said before its occurrence there is no falsehood (kādhiba).

    The Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says to the polytheists (mushrikīn) of Quraysh: do you then marvel at this Qurʾān, O people, that it has been sent down upon Muḥammad ﷺ:

    ( لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ ). وقوله: ( لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ ) يقول تعالى ذكره: ليس للآزفة التي قد أزفت, وهي الساعة التي قد دنت من دون الله كاشف, يقول: ليس تنكشف فتقوم إلا بإقامة الله إياها, وكشفها دون من سواه من خلقه, لأنه لم يطلع عليها مَلَكا مقرّبا, ولا نبيا مرسلا. وقيل: كاشفة, فأنثت, وهي بمعنى الانكشاف; كما قيل: فَهَلْ تَرَى لَهُمْ مِنْ بَاقِيَةٍ بمعنى: فهل ترى لهم من بقاء; وكما قيل: العاقبة وماله من ناهية, وكما قيل لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ يقول تعالى ذكره لمشركي قريش: أفمن هذا القرآن أيها الناس تعجبون, أنْ نـزلَ على محمد صلى:
