Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees?

And His saying a-ʿindahu ʿilmu al-ghaybi fa-huwa yarā ("Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees?") — the Exalted, whose praise is proclaimed, says: Does this one, to whom his companion has promised that he would bear on his behalf the punishment (ʿadhāb) of Allah in the Hereafter, have knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees the truth of that one's word, and the fulfillment of what he promised him?
