Tafseer of The Star · An-Najm · 53:2
Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,

His statement: مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى "Your companion has not gone astray, nor has he been deluded." The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says: Your companion, O people, has not deviated from the truth nor strayed from it, but rather he abides in uprightness and correctness.
And by His statement وَمَا غَوَى "nor has he been deluded" He means: and he has not been deluded, but rather he is rightly guided and correct. One says: ghawiya, yaghwī, derived from al-ghayy (error), and he is ghāwin; and ghawiya, yaghwā, derived from [something to do with] the milk, [namely] when he becomes overfilled [with milk]. And His statement مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ "Your companion has not gone astray" is the response to the oath وَالنَّجْمِ "By the star."

(2) In (al-Lisān: ghawā): ghawā (with fatḥa) ghayyan, and ghawiya (with kasra) ghiwāyatan — this latter on the authority of Abū ʿUbayda: he went astray. And therein: ghawiya the camel-calf and the lamb, yaghwā ghawan (like fariḥa): it became overfilled with milk.
