Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe.

His statement: ( Or do they say: he has fabricated it ) He, exalted is His mention, says: or do these polytheists (mushrikīn) say: Muḥammad has fabricated this Qurʾān and invented it himself.
His statement: ( No, they do not believe ) He, exalted is His praise, says: they have lied in what they said about that; no, they do not believe, so that they would hold as true the truth that has come to them from their Lord.
