They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ (They said: "Indeed, we have been sent to a criminal people" (51:32)) — a people who had committed crime through their disbelief (kufr) in Allah.
