And whoever is an ally of Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed - indeed, the party of Allah - they will be the predominant.

The exposition of the explanation of His word: وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ (And whoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and the believers as protectors — then indeed, the party of Allah, they are the victorious) (56)
Abū Jaʿfar said: This is an announcement from Allah — exalted is His mention — to all His servants: both those who detached themselves from the alliance with the Jews and rejected them, content with the protection of Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, and also those who clung to their alliance with them and feared that the turns of misfortune would befall them, and therefore hastened to take them as allies. [He announced to them] that whoever relies upon Allah and takes Allah, His Messenger, and the believers as protectors, and whoever is in a state comparable to the rest of the allies of Allah among the believers — they have the victory, the [favorable] turns of fortune, and dominion over those who are hostile to them and oppose them, for they are the party of Allah, and the party of Allah, they are the victorious, not the party of the devil. As:
12215 - Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn related to us, saying: Aḥmad ibn Mufaḍḍal related to us, saying: Asbāṭ related to us, from al-Suddī, who said: He informed them — that is, the Lord, exalted is His mention — who is the victorious one, and He said: Fear neither the [turning] of dominion nor the [turning] of fortune, and He said: "ومن يتول الله ورسوله والذين آمنوا فإن حزب الله هم الغالبون" (And whoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and the believers as protectors — then indeed, the party of Allah, they are the victorious). And "the party" — they are the helpers.
And by His word "فإن حزب الله" (then indeed, the party of Allah) He means: indeed, the helpers of Allah. Of this is the verse of the rajaz poet:
wa-kayfa aḍwā wa-Bilālu ḥizbī!
(And how should I be weakened while Bilāl is my party!)
By his word "aḍwā" he means: I am weakened and oppressed — derived from [the word for] something that is "ḍāwī" (weak, lean). And by his word "wa-Bilālu ḥizbī" he means: my helper.
