Tafseer of The Dunes · Al-Ahqaf · 46:14

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do.

    And His statement They are the inhabitants of Paradise (janna) — the Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says: those who made this declaration and remained steadfast are the people of Paradise (janna) and its inhabitants. abiding therein eternally — He says: dwelling therein forever. as a reward for what they used to do — He says: as a recompense from Us to them; We have granted them that on account of their good deeds which they used to perform in the life of this world.

    وقوله ( أُولَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ) يقول تعالى ذكره: هؤلاء الذين قالوا هذا القول, واستقاموا أهل الجنة وسكانها( خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ) يقول: ماكثين فيها أبدا( جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ) يقول: ثوابا منا لهم آتيناهم ذلك على أعمالهم الصالحة التي كانوا في الدنيا يعملونها.
