Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous.

And His statement ( إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يُغْنُوا عَنْكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ) ("Indeed, they will avail you nothing against Allah") — He — exalted is His mention — says: indeed, these who are ignorant concerning their Lord, who call you, O Muḥammad ﷺ, to follow their desires, will avail you nothing if you follow their desires and abandon the law (sharīʿa) of your Lord, which He has prescribed for you — nothing against the punishment of Allah, that they would avert it from you if He punishes you, or that they would rescue you from it.
And His statement ( وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ) says: and indeed, the wrongdoers are helpers and allies of one another against faith (īmān) in Allah and against the people of His obedience. ( وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ ) — He — exalted is His mention — says: and Allah is the protector of whoever fears Him by fulfilling His obligations and avoiding His prohibitions, with His sufficient help and by warding off whoever wishes him harm. He — exalted is His praise — says to His Prophet — peace and blessings be upon him —: so be among the God-fearing, and Allah will protect you from the harm that these polytheists (mushrikīn) have inflicted upon you and the schemes they plotted against you, for He is the protector of whoever fears Him. And let not the opposition of those who resist His command weigh heavily upon you, even though their number be great, for they will not be able to harm you so long as Allah is your protector and helper.
