As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment.

And His statement: وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكَ ("And He guarded them against the punishment of the Blazing Fire (al-jaḥīm), as a bounty from your Lord") — the Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: and their Lord guarded these God-fearing ones on that day against the punishment of the Fire, as a bounty from your Lord to them, O Muḥammad, and as a favor from Him to them thereby. He did not punish them for the sin they had previously committed in the worldly life. And had it not been for His bounty to them in absolving them of the punishment for what they had previously committed thereof, He would not have guarded them against the punishment of the Blazing Fire; rather, its pain and its horror would have struck them and reached them.
And His statement: ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ ("That is the great triumph") — the Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: this which We have given these God-fearing ones in the Hereafter of the noble bounty described in these verses, that is the great triumph. He says: it is the great victory in attaining that which they strove to obtain in the worldly life through their deeds and their obedience to their Lord, and through their fear of Him, in that with which He tested them of acts of obedience and obligations, and the abstaining from the forbidden things.
