Explanation of the words of the Exalted: "How many gardens and springs did they leave behind!" (44:25)

The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: how much did Pharaoh and his people of the Copts leave behind, after their destruction and after Allah had drowned them, of gardens and trees — and those are the "gardens" (jannāt) — and springs, that is to say: well-springs that gushed forth in their gardens, and standing crops in their fields.
