The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: Indeed, the evildoers will abide eternally in the punishment of Hell (jahannam). (43:74)

The Exalted — exalted be His mention — says: Indeed, the evildoers (al-mujrimīn) — and they are those who, in the worldly life, committed the crime of disbelief (kufr) against Allah, and who thereby also acted criminally in the Hereafter — will abide eternally in the punishment of Hell; He says: they abide therein perpetually.
