وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّۢ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

And how many a prophet We sent among the former peoples,

    The explanation of the statement of the Exalted: وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ فِي الأَوَّلِينَ (43:6) — ("And how many a prophet did We send among the former peoples!")

    The Exalted, whose praise is sublime, says: وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ ("And how many a prophet did We send") — O Muḥammad — among the former generations who passed away before your generation in which you were sent, just as We sent you among your people, the Quraysh.

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ فِي الأَوَّلِينَ (6) يقول تعالى ذكره: (وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ) يا محمد في القرون الأولين الذين مضوا قبل قرنك الذي بعثت فيه كما أرسلناك في قومك من قريش.
