Tafseer of Ornaments of gold · Az-Zukhruf · 43:3
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.
Important: The Arabic source text is always authoritative. This translation is a study aid and has not been verified by scholars — do not use it as a basis for religious proof or for deriving rulings (ahkam). When in doubt, always consult the Arabic text and a qualified scholar.
Voorwaar, Wij hebben hem tot een Arabische Qurʾān gemaakt — He says: Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qurʾān in the language of the Arabs, since you, O you who are warned thereby, belong to the people of Muḥammad ﷺ and are Arabs, opdat jullie zouden begrijpen — He says: so that you may understand its meanings and the admonitions contained therein; and He did not send it down in the language of the non-Arabs, such that it would be non-Arabic, whereupon you would say: "We are Arabs, and this is non-Arabic speech whose meanings we do not grasp."
And similar to what we have said concerning this is what the people of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl) say.
* Mention of who said that:
Muḥammad related to us, he said: Aḥmad related to us, he said: Asbāṭ related to us, on the authority of al-Suddī: Ḥā Mīm * By the clear Book — that is, this clear Book.
Bishr related to us, he said: Yazīd related to us, he said: Ḥā Mīm * By the clear Book — clear, by Allah, is His blessing, His guidance, and His upright course.
