The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: OR HAVE THEY TAKEN PROTECTORS BESIDES HIM? BUT ALLAH IS THE PROTECTOR, AND HE GIVES LIFE TO THE DEAD, AND HE IS CAPABLE OF ALL THINGS (9)
The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: or have these polytheists who ascribe partners to Allah taken protectors besides Allah, whom they take as protector? ( BUT ALLAH IS THE PROTECTOR ). He says: it is Allah who is the protector of those under His protection; and it is Him whom they ought to take as protector, not the gods and the idols, nor that which can bring them neither harm nor benefit. ( AND HE GIVES LIFE TO THE DEAD ). He says: and Allah gives life to the dead after their death, and gathers them on the Day of Resurrection. ( AND HE IS CAPABLE OF ALL THINGS ). He says: and Allah is capable of giving life to His creation after their death, and of other things besides that; truly, He is the Possessor of power over all things.
