The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, the Exalted: اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ (Allah is He Who made for you the earth a dwelling place and the heaven a structure, and Who fashioned you and made your forms excellent, and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord. So blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds) (40:64).
The Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: ( اللهُ ) (Allah), He to Whom divinity belongs purely, O people, ( الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأرْضَ ) (Who made for you the earth) — upon whose surface you are dwellers — ( قَرَارًا ) (a dwelling place), upon which you abide and above which you reside, ( وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً ) (and the heaven a structure): He built it and raised it above you without pillars that you see, for the sake of your interests and the preservation of your world until you reach your appointed terms. ( وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ ) (and Who fashioned you and made your forms excellent). He says: and He created you and made your creation excellent. ( وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ) (and provided you with good things). He says: and He provided you with permitted provision and with delightful foods and drinks. And His saying: ( ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ) (That is Allah, your Lord). The Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: He Who has performed these deeds and bestowed upon you these favors, O people, He is Allah to Whom divinity belongs exclusively, and your Lord, for Whom alone lordship is fitting — not that which neither benefits nor harms, and neither creates nor provides. ( فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ ) (So blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds). He says: Blessed is Allah, the Possessor of all of creation — their jinn and their humankind, and all the remaining kinds of creation besides them.
