إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَءَاتِيَةٌۭ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Indeed, the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe.

    The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, the Exalted: إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لآتِيَةٌ لا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ (59) (Verily, the Hour is certainly coming, there is no doubt about it, but most people do not believe.) (40:59)

    The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: verily, the Hour in which Allah raises the dead to life for the reward and the punishment shall certainly come, O people; there is no doubt about its coming. He says: so be convinced of its coming, and that you will be resurrected after your death, and will be requited for your deeds; so turn back in repentance to your Lord. ( وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ ) (but most people do not believe). He says: but most of the Quraysh do not believe in its coming.

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لآتِيَةٌ لا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ (59) يقول تعالى ذكره: إن الساعة التي يحيي الله فيها الموتى للثواب والعقاب لجائية أيها الناس لا شكّ في مجيئها; يقول: فأيقنوا بمجيئها, وأنكم مبعوثون من بعد مماتكم, ومجازون بأعمالكم, فتوبوا إلى ربكم ( وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ ) يقول: ولكن أكثر قريش لا يصدّقون بمجيئها.
