Tafseer of The letter Saad · Saad · 38:77

قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌۭ

[Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled.

    The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, the Exalted: قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ (38:77) (He said: "Then get out of it, for indeed you are accursed.") (77)

    The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says to Iblīs: فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا (Then get out of it), that is: out of the Garden, فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ (for indeed you are accursed), that is: indeed, you are treated with stoning by the people, reviled and cursed.

    As Bishr related to us, he said: Yazīd related to us, he said: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His saying قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ (He said: "Then get out of it, for indeed you are accursed"): he said: and "al-rajīm" means: the cursed one.

    It was related to me on the authority of al-Muḥāribī, on the authority of Juwaybir, on the authority of al-Ḍaḥḥāk, with something similar.

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ (77) يقول تعالى ذكره لإبليس: ( فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا ) يعني من الجنة ( فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ ) يقول: فإنك مرجوم بالقوم, مشتوم ملعون. كما حدثنا بشر, قال: ثنا يزيد, قال: ثنا سعيد, عن قتادة, قوله ( قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ ) قال: والرجيم: اللعين. حُدثت عن المحاربيّ, عن جُوَيبر, عن الضحاك بمثله.
