The discourse on the explanation of His statement, the Exalted: وَاذْكُرْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ وَكُلٌّ مِنَ الأَخْيَارِ (And remember Ismāʿīl, al-Yasaʿ, and Dhū al-Kifl; and all were among the best) (38:48).
He, exalted is His mention, says to His Prophet, Allah's blessing and peace be upon him: Remember, O Muḥammad, Ismāʿīl, al-Yasaʿ, and Dhū al-Kifl, and that which they accomplished in obedience to Allah, and follow their example, and tread their path in patience regarding what befalls you for the sake of Allah, and in persevering in conveying His message. And we have previously, in what has already passed in this book of ours, set forth the reports concerning Ismāʿīl, al-Yasaʿ, and Dhū al-Kifl, in a manner that makes it unnecessary to repeat it here. And "al-kifl" in the language of the Arabs means: the portion and the good fortune.
