Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

And His statement ( إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ) — "Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good" — the Exalted, whose praise is mentioned, says: indeed, just as We dealt with Nūḥ as a reward for his obedience to Us and his patience under the harm of his people for the sake of Our good pleasure — and We saved him and his family from the tremendous distress, and We made his progeny the survivors, and We left behind him a good name among the later generations — ( كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي ): thus do We reward those who do good and obey Us, and abide by Our command, and exercise patience under the harm that they undergo for Our sake.
