عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ

On thrones facing one another.

    ( عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ ) — "Upon couches, facing one another" — that is to say: that they look upon one another mutually, and that neither one of them looks at the back of the head (the nape of the neck) of the other.
