The explanation of His, the Exalted, statement: "And turn away from them until a certain time" (37:178)
He, exalted is His remembrance, says to His Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: And turn away, O Muḥammad, from these polytheists (mushrikīn), and leave them and their town to their Lord ( until a certain time ). He says: until the time at which Allah permits their destruction.
