And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.

Exposition of the explanation of His statement, the Exalted: وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ("And indeed, Yūnus was among the messengers") (139)
He, exalted be His mention, says: and indeed, Yūnus was a messenger from among the messengers to their peoples.
