For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

His statement لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ ("They shall have therein fruit" — 36:57): He says to those whom He, blessed and exalted, has mentioned, of the inhabitants of the Garden (janna): they shall have in the Garden fruit. وَلَهُمْ مَا يَدَّعُونَ ("And they shall have whatever they call for"): He says: and they shall have therein whatever they desire. And it has been related concerning the Arabs that they say: "Daʿ ʿalayya mā shiʾta," that is: "Wish from me whatever you want."
