So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.

The statement concerning the interpretation of His saying, the Exalted: Fa-l-yawma lā tuẓlamu nafsun shayʾan wa-lā tujzawna illā mā kuntum taʿmalūn "So on that Day no soul will be wronged in anything, and you will be recompensed only for what you used to do" (36:54).
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says ( fa-l-yawma ) "on that Day" — He means: the Day of Resurrection — ( lā tuẓlamu nafsun shayʾan ) "no soul will be wronged in anything." Such is our Lord: He wrongs no soul in anything; He does not withhold from it the reward for its good deed, and He does not burden it with the sin-load of another, but He gives every soul the full recompense for the good it has done, and He punishes it only for the crime and the acquisition it has committed. ( wa-lā tujzawna illā mā kuntum taʿmalūn ) "and you will be recompensed only for what you used to do" — He says: you will only be rewarded with the recompense of your deeds which you used to perform in the worldly life.
