(It will be but a single cry, and then they are all brought before Us together). The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: their being restored to life after their death will be nothing but a single cry — and that is the third blast upon the trumpet (al-ṣūr). فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ (and then they are all brought before Us together). He says: and then they are gathered before Us, brought forth and made present at the place of arraignment and reckoning, without even a single one of them remaining behind from it. And we have already set forth previously the disagreement of those who differed in their reading of إِلا صَيْحَةً with the naṣb (accusative) and the rafʿ (nominative), in a manner that absolves us from repeating it in this place.
