And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -

His statement وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِنْ نَخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ ("And We have made therein gardens of date palms and grapevines"): the Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: and We have laid out in this earth, which We have brought back to life after its death, orchards of date palms and grapevines. وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْعُيُونِ ("and We have caused springs to gush forth therein"): he says: and We have caused springs of water to burst forth therein.
