You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

His statement إِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ ("You only warn him who follows the Reminder"). He, exalted is His mention, says: your warning benefits only, O Muḥammad, him who believes in the Qurʾān and follows what is in it of the ordinances of Allah, وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمَنَ ("and fears the Most Merciful"). He says: and who fears Allah when he is withdrawn from the eyes of onlookers — not the hypocrite (munāfiq) who belittles the religion of Allah when he is alone and shows faith (īmān) when he is among the people, nor the polytheist (mushrik) whose heart Allah has sealed. And His statement فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ ("then give him glad tidings of forgiveness"). He says: then give glad tidings, O Muḥammad, to this one who has followed the Reminder and feared the Most Merciful in secret, of forgiveness from Allah for his sins, وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ ("and a noble reward"). He says: and a noble reward from Him for him in the Hereafter, and that is that He will grant him for that deed of his the Garden (janna).
And in the manner of what we have said concerning this, the scholars of interpretation have spoken.

Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: إِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ ("You only warn him who follows the Reminder") — and the following of the Reminder is: the following of the Qurʾān.
