Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.

The statement concerning the explanation of His word, the Exalted: الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ ("Those who disbelieve, for them there is a severe punishment; and those who believe and perform righteous deeds, for them there is forgiveness and a great reward") (35:7).
He, exalted is His mention, says: الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ("Those who disbelieve") in Allah and His Messenger, لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ ("for them there is a punishment") from Allah, شَدِيدٌ ("severe"), and that is the punishment of the Fire. And His word وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ("and those who believe"). He says: and those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and act according to what Allah has commanded them and abstain from what He has forbidden them, لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ ("for them there is forgiveness") from Allah for their sins, وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ ("and a great reward"), and that is Paradise (janna).
As Bishr related to us, he said: Yazīd related to us, he said: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ ("for them there is forgiveness and a great reward"), and that is Paradise.
