That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.

And His statement لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ (that He may pay them their rewards in full) means: and Allah, on account of their performing that, pays them in full the reward of their works which they performed in the worldly life. وَيَزِيدَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ (and give them yet more out of His bounty) means: and that He may, on top of the full payment, increase for them out of His bounty that for which they are eligible. And Muṭarrif ibn ʿAbd Allāh used to say: this is the verse of the reciters (al-qurrāʾ).
Muḥammad ibn Bashshār related to us, saying: ʿAmr ibn ʿĀṣim related to us, saying: Muʿtamir related to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Qatāda, who said: when Muṭarrif came upon this verse — إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ (Indeed, those who recite the Book) — he said: this is the verse of the reciters.
Ibn al-Muthannā related to us, saying: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar related to us, saying: Shuʿba related to us, on the authority of Yazīd, on the authority of Muṭarrif ibn ʿAbd Allāh, that concerning this verse — إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ ... (Indeed, those who recite the Book ...) to the end of the verse — he said: this is the verse of the reciters.
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, who said: Muṭarrif ibn ʿAbd Allāh used to say: this is the verse of the reciters — لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ (that He may pay them their rewards in full and give them yet more out of His bounty).
And His statement إِنَّهُ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ (Indeed, He is Forgiving, Appreciative) means: indeed, Allah is Forgiving of the sins of these people who possess this quality, Appreciative of their good deeds.
As Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: إِنَّهُ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ (Indeed, He is Forgiving, Appreciative): indeed, He is Forgiving of their sins, Appreciative of their good deeds.
